Paul Slater

Global Head of Investigation Solutions, Nuix

Paul Slater is a subject matter expert with over 20 years of experience in investigations, digital forensics, and eDiscovery. Paul has held senior roles within law enforcement, corporate and "Big 4" advisories and was a member of the review board for the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) “Good Practice Guide for Digital Evidence.” Paul also served for two years as interim head of the Digital Forensics Unit in the primary UK agency for investigating and prosecuting serious and complex fraud, where he designed workflows and implemented technologies to enable them to process 20 times more electronic evidence each year. Paul now uses his expertise to enable Nuix customers to 'master their data' through the design, build, and implementation of digital forensic and eDiscovery solutions.


Fabienne Goux-Baudiment

Chief Executive Officer , proGective

Fabienne GOUX-BAUDIMENT earned a Masters in Political Science (France) and a PhD in Human and Social Foresight (Social Sciences, Roma, Italy). Futurist, she has been the founding head of the consulting firm proGective in France (Paris) since 1994; centre of application, research and training in futures studies, proGective meets its clients' needs (either central or local governments, businesses, NGOs) by working out innovative and foresight-oriented solutions.

She also is Associate Professor of Foresight and Innovation, and coordinator of the curriculum "Knowledge Engineer" at the University of Angers. She is also serving as a member of the Foresight section of the Regional Economic, Social and Environmental Council of Ile de France.

Former president of the World Futures Studies Federation (2005-2009), she is a founding member of the French Society for Foresight which she chaired from 2013 to 2016.

Author and referee of several international Journals, Fabienne is also a member of both the Association of Professional Futurists and the World Future Society, and a Fellow of the World Futures Studies Federation.

Derek Woodgate

President, The Futures lab, Inc.

Derek Woodgate is a consulting futurist, educator, author, speaker and curator. He is the President and Chief Futurist of The Futures Lab, a foresight consultancy, he founded in 1996, which specializes in creating future potential for major corporations and institutions. Derek is also the CCO of at The Futures Lab's “living the future” events company, The FutureXperience Lab.  In addition, Derek is an Assistant Professor in the ICT Department of the Engineering and Science Faculty at the University of Adger in Norway and an Adjunct Professor in the Learning Technologies Division of the College of Education and Human Development at Georgia State University. Prior to The Futures Lab Inc., Derek had previous experience as an executive on the board of two major international corporations with over 20 years SVP-level management in global strategy. He started his career as a diplomat with the British FCO. Derek has a MSc. in political Economics and his currently a PhD candidate in the ICT Department at the University of Adger.

Steve Bennett

Director, Global Government Practice, SAS

As the Global Government Practice lead, Steve Bennett drives strategic industry positioning and messaging in global Government markets. A thought leader in decision science and the application of analytics in Government, Steve works to enable delivery of effective solutions to Government customers around the world. Prior to SAS, Steve held a number of leadership positions during his 12 years in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  Following the events of September 11th 2001,  Steve led the design and application of quantitative analysis to inform some of the United States’ most challenging security decisions, most recently as the Director of the National Biosurveillance Integration Center.  Over the course of his career in Government, he led diverse teams to provide analytic decision support to senior officials in the White House and across the U.S. Government Executive Branch.  Ultimately, Steve has a passion for improving Government decision making, and pursues better organization, management, and understanding of Government data as critical to that endeavor.

Steve holds a doctorate in Computational Biochemistry from Stanford, as well as undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Caltech, and has authored a number of peer-reviewed and other publications.  When not supporting improved analytics in Government, he is coaching youth soccer, leading children’s ministry at church, or building something in his workshop.

Stuart Clarke

Chief Technical Officer, Security & Intelligence, Nuix

Stuart is an internationally respected information security expert who is responsible for the overall global security and intelligence strategy and delivery at Nuix. During his time at the company, Stuart has advised the United Nations’ peak cybersecurity body ITU and provided cybersecurity training for over 60 computer emergency response teams. He led the development of Nuix Investigation & Response, an innovative investigative tool used to delve into the causes and scope of data breaches. He also currently leads the development of Nuix Insight Analytics & Intelligence, a powerful security intelligence platform.

Stuart has a deep understanding of the Nuix technology and capabilities. Prior to joining Nuix, he used Nuix offerings extensively in breach response. He brings that understanding together with a vision for the cybersecurity needs of Nuix’s current and prospective clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Computer Forensics and is soon to graduate with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He has developed and delivered training for a Master of Science program in Computer Security and Forensics, has recently contributed to a book covering evidence preservation as well as published several industry-recognized white papers.

Mark Provinsal

Managing Director, EMEA Vicon

Mark Provinsal is the Managing Director for Vicon’s subsidiary operation for EMEA. Prior to joining Vicon in 2010, he served as the Executive Vice President for Dedicated Micros Inc. (USA) and Director of Marketing and Product Management at IPIX Corporation. Mr. Provinsal holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the United States Military Academy.
